LATEST LINGERIE COLLECTION BY LINGERIE DESIGN JEAN PAUL GAULTIER

The French fashion designer, Jean Paul Gaultier, has teamed up with underwear firm La Perla to work on a new collection. The new line will comprise 27, styles - nearly all handmade - including a waist-cinching corset and bra inspired by the cone  bra that the designer created for Madonna in the Nineties.

Gaultier famously designed Madonna's cone bra during the 90s but he has never officially launched a lingerie line until now. The collection will be available in November 2010 and two limited-edition pieces are set to feature in the label's couture show next month. The 27-piece line will range from $600 to $1,200 and include corsets, bodysuits, and bras. According to WWD, two limited-edition pieces, including a satin bra with a shoulder strap motif - will feature in the label's couture show on July 7. Prices will start at £405 for bras and briefs and £811 for corsets.
While he's currently working on the lingerie ranch, it was recently revealed Gaultier is quitting his role as artistic director at Hermes, where he had been working since 2003.
